UZI Bridal Atelier

From the Swahili for needle — the tool that holds everything together.

Dressmaking in the UZI atelier

How it began

To make weddings easy to plan and dream.

UZI Bridal Atelier began in conversation. Natalia's friends Wendy and Grace kept describing the same struggle — how hard it was to find a wedding venue that felt right, and a bridal dress that felt like them. Those conversations turned into UZI: a small atelier selling new wedding dresses, so no bride has to settle for almost-right. Wendy and Grace inspired the idea, though they are not part of the company.

Estates for Weddings was born a little differently — from Have You Slept There, Natalia's private homes. Standing in them, she noticed how lovely and captivating the views were, and how many people had never heard of — or seen — these places. The idea of seeing the homes enjoyed, and of making them revenue-generating rather than sitting quiet, birthed Estates for Weddings: a register of beautiful private estates opened up for weddings.

Together, the goal is simple — make weddings easy to plan and dream. No more scattered vendors, no more almost-right dresses, no more estates that disappear before the enquiry is answered. Just a small, considered register of places and dresses, handled by people who understand that the day belongs entirely to the couple.

We take a small number of clients each season, on referral and by consultation. Every estate is booked exclusively, and every dress is chosen with the venue in mind. Nothing is rushed and nothing is mass-produced — that is the whole point.

Here in Karen, we import ready-to-wear wedding dresses straight from Vietnam, chosen piece by piece for fabric and finish. Our evening gowns and occasion dresses are handmade in-house, cut to each client's measurements. And we dress the grooms too, so a wedding party can be fitted in a single afternoon.
